Week 18 recap, week 19 predictions
January 31, 2011 by adminLet’s start with week 19 predictions – more snow.
Ok, week 18. Watertown started the week the the Penguins falling a little short vs. the Flames (6-3 after an ENG). On Wednesday, Nashville out-sniped (6-4) 1st place Detroit to keep them from clinching first, while St. Louis poured on 7 goals, but were edged out (9-7) by Vancouver. Also on Wednesday, the Rangers topped (also 6-4) a short-handed Flames team in Bedford. On Thursday, the Kings’ third period butterflies emerged again, yielding 4 goals in the final frame to fall 5-4 to the Islanders.
Weather – All games are on unless we post otherwise. Despite the expected storm on Tuesday/Wednesday, we anticipate the rinks will be open, refs will be in attendance, and all games will be played. [2/1 Update - it looks like the bulk of the storm will have passed by mid-Wednesday, but some precip. may continue into the evening]. As always, use your own best judgement if you can make it to and from your game safely. In the unlikely event a game is cancelled we will post it here and email your team.
