We’ll collect any donations on Monday night in Watertown, just drop then off at the scorekeepers booth. Or feel free to bring equipment directly to Bedford next week.

Saturday hockey also start back up on January 8th, 9:10pm, in Watertown. Goalies are Tim and Eric.  The skate is open to anyone, cost is $15 for 90 minutes.

This past week started with a snowout of an anticipated match-up between the Islanders & Flames – tied at 18 points each – in Watertown (make-up date TBD). Wednesday saw Vancouver gain ground over St. Louis and then two overtime games as Detroit took 48 minutes to get past Nashville, and the Penguins worked their way to a 4-4 tie with the Bruins. The latter game featured 98 shots, 55 against goalie Paul Umbro in his first game back. Benches were light across the league during holiday week. Thursday was no exception as the Rangers gasped past the the Maple Leafs. To start the new year, we’ll have a double header on Monday in Watertown, see a cross-over game on Wednesday, watch a climbing Vancouver team take on Detroit in Chelmsford, and have the Rangers match up their second first place team in the week on Thursday.

Offense was at a premium last week, but our player of the week scrounged together 6 points to lead the way:
