December 20, 2010 by admin
First, an open skate update – We have pick-up ice Thursday, 12/23 in Watertown, 9:50pm. $15 for 75+ minutes. If you’re in town, come join us. It is open to anyone. Also, the Saturday skates will be cancelled the next two weeks due to Christmas and New Years, but will restart on 1/8.
Last week’s recap:
As we hit the half-way point teams are settling into grooves. The Islanders continue to burn out scoreboard lights with their third 12 goal game in a row. The Kings played another tight one, but fell to first place Detroit 5-7. There’s never an easy night when facing captain Amarante’s crew – The Kings have had 6 games this season settled by 2 goals or less. In Chelmsford, Vancouver found it’s scoring touch and beat out St. Louis, while in the Watertown match-up of the week, the 3rd place Bruins scored a power play in OT to earn a victory over the first place Flames 6-5.
In limited action this week the Kings will face off against the Bruins, St. Louis will try to gain in the standings against Nashville, and two big offenses (Vancouver / Islanders) face each other in a crossover game in Bedford.
