Week 7 Recap and Player Of The Week

November 15, 2010 by admin

Week 7 was not a friend to the league’s goalies. The lowest scoring game had 8 goals as the Flames continued their winning ways to top the Maple Leaf’s 6-2.

There were 10 goals scored in the contest between the #3 and #2 teams in Watertown, with the Bruins edging the Islanders 6-4. The other three games featured a combined 42 goals. The newly surging Vancouver powered over St. Louis, Detroit came from behind to hang on to their undefeated streak, and the Rangers took out the Penguins.

Week 8 brings us a return to the full schedule, with no byes and all 10 teams in action. In an unexpected quirk of scheduling, every single team playing this week is at least 2 slots in the standings away from their opponent, meaning this is a great week for goalies and underdogs to steal the limelight.
