Chiefs chop Maple Leafs 8-4…

May 10, 2010 by Ken

In the first meeting between the Chiefs and Maple Leafs, the Maple Leafs score first, but it’s the Chiefs that continue the scoring.  Maple Leafs jumped to a quick 1-0 lead due to a strong play finished by Lisa Weiss.   Chiefs answered the goal with two quick ones from the same line.  Matt Casserly and Dave Hage assisted each other’s goals, both being fed by Chris Oxier.  Dan Donaghey kept the Maple Leafs in the game with his two goals, but the overwhelming myriad of shots on net from the Chiefs made it difficult for the Maple Leaf goalie, Tim Driscoll to ward them off.  Driscoll kept the game close at hand with his 34 saves.  Chief’s net minder, Luis Galvao, quieted any skepticism from the previous 11 goal game with his outstanding performance in the second week.  Chiefs win by a final of 8-4.
