The second period saw only one goal, coming with one second left in the period when Corey Orehek(assists: Chuck Miranda and Bryan Werner) was able to snap one past Matt Lydon to barely beat the buzzer, giving the Bruins a 2-1 lead going into the 3rd.

The Maple Leafs’ offense came alive in the third period which saw them score 3 goals in the span of two and a half minutes.  The first came at 12:26 when Sam Toso (assist Kyle Stevenson) netted his second of the game to tie the score at two.  The second came just over a minute later when Brian Martin scored on a nice setup from Toso and the third came 22 seconds later when Tim Gardner (assists: Michael Brewster and Rich Lemerise) was able to slide one past goaltender Tim Driscoll.  The Bruins would get one back while on the power play at 4:59 when Bryan Werner scored on a great individual effort.  However, the Maple Leafs would answer back eight seconds later on an unassisted goal from Sam Toso, putting the final score at 5-3.
