Winter League Draft Complete

January 6, 2010 by admin

The captains gathered at The Skellig in Waltham Tuesday night for the 2010 Winter season draft. The first step in their quest to win the Boston Ice Chalice was to select the 14 players that best fit their desired strategy and playing style.

They poured over notes – after pouring their beers – and made tough decisions between league veterans and rookie rising stars. They traded friends for scorers, greedily snatched up D, and each latched onto the netminder they were convinced could carry them all the way.

By the end of the night 90 players were picked across the Blues, Bruins, Flames, Maple Leafs, Penguins, and Wild. We’d like to thank the captains for their time and effort.

The rosters will be posted to the website Wednesday night, and players will also receive emails about their teams. Best of luck to everyone this season.
