In another back-and-forth affair Royal eeked out a win vs. a surging Green team. Late in the first, Colin Haviland and Frank Plati combined for Royal to break the 0-0 tie. Green responded in the 2nd when Alex Garceau tallied a goal on a nice solo effort. Jim Koehler responded for Royal scoring with just 9 seconds remaining in the first period to put them back on top at 2-1. Midway through the 3rd period Green took a pair of penalties giving Royal a two man advantage. Frank Plati made them pay when he buried a pass from Colin Haviland to give Royal a 3-1 lead. But Green stormed back scoring a pair of goals in just over 2 minutes, Alex Garceau and Sean Egan answered the call tying the game at 3-3. But with 1:54 left to play Jim Koehler would strike again putting Royal up 4-3 and sealing the victory. Bill Notartamaso played a great game in net for Green making 28 saves on the night.
